Our design philosophy emphasizes versatile garments featuring durable natural materials, clean lines and innovative functionality inspired by the mountains and rivers of the southern Rockies.

Versatile

Truchas shirts should be able to run the gamut from stream to street, and handle diverse and rapidly changing weather patterns.

Durable

The opposite of fast fashion.  We hope you wear our shirts for years.

Natural

Truchas garments strive to use traditional natural materials like wool and more modern natural fabrics like modal without compromising function.

Modal comes from beech trees and is biodegradable.

Clean

A simple design aesthetic discourages gimmicks, bulk, extra weight or things that are there 'just to look pretty'.  If it doesn't support function it shouldn't be there.

Innovative

From new fabrics to functional design to new product categories, we are always trying new things.  Not everything will work, but we strive to push the boundaries of outdoor product design.
